Joy Curtis is a trusted advisor, coach, problem solver, and HR executive and consultant.

Since 2012, Joy served as the Senior Vice President, Human Resources and Chief Human Resources Officer at Cambridge Health Alliance, a Harvard affiliated healthcare system which employees 5000 staff and providers. She is responsible for Human Resources Operations, Labor and Employee Relations, Organizational Development and Learning, Wellness, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion and Multi-cultural Affairs, including Interpreter Services, Transporter and Front Desk staff. 

Prior to joining CHA, Joy was President and Founding Principal of the Human Resources consulting firm, Innovative Solutions HR, LLC. Relying on her extensive background as a human resources executive, Joy worked directly with client organizations in analyzing their needs, developing credible and successful leaders and managers, designing effective human resources infrastructure, leading human resources departments on an interim basis, coaching executives to realize their greatest potential, coaching clients for successful career transition and solving business problems. She brings expertise, compassion and humor to all of her engagements.  Clients include Partners Health Care System (now MGB), Harvard University, Bryn Mawr College, New England Sports Network (NESN), Winchester Hospital and Ropes & Gray. She founded Innovative Solutions HR, LLC in 1994.

From 2005 until 2009, Joy served as the Chief People Office (CPO) at the international law firm, Ropes & Gray LLP where she founded “the People Organization”.  She was responsible for firm-wide Professional Development, Legal Recruiting, Human Resources Operations, Secretarial Services, Travel, Event Planning and support for the firm's Pro Bono activities.  In 2009, the firm was voted the best firm to work for in the Vault Survey.

Prior to founding Innovative Solutions, Ms. Curtis was Vice President, Human Resources at Lawrence & Memorial Hospital in New London, Connecticut and at Newton-Wellesley Hospital in Newton, Massachusetts.. She was a member of the Senior Management Teams responsible for managing human capital.  Ms. Curtis has over 30 years of in-depth experience in all aspects of human resources management. 

Ms. Curtis earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from Yale University and her MBA, with high honors, from Boston University. She is a certified coach through Martha Beck, Inc. and is a certified Career Invention coach. She is also a certified practitioner of the Myers- Briggs Type Indicator. Joy has also supplemented her formal education with programs at Harvard Business School including “Leading Professional Service Firms” and “Managing Human Capital”. She has earned the designation of Senior Professional, HR, (SPHR) from The Society of Human Resource Management. She is past President of the Connecticut Healthcare Human Resources Association 

Joy has also served as an Adjunct Professor at University of Massachusetts, Lowell in the Health Informatics and Management graduate program. She serves on the Board of the Malden Chamber of Commerce.

In her spare time, she follows her passion for animals by working with animal rescue groups and is a founder and a member of the Board of Directors of the Massachusetts Union for Siberian Huskies, Inc. (MUSH).

Joy lives in Malden, Massachusetts with her husband and two rescued Siberian Huskies.

As Co-Creator of Seed Club, an Internet Native Accelerator backed by top funds including USV and IDEO CoLab, Nicole D’Avis worked closely with over 100 top builders from Water & Music, Cabin, Krause House, Poolsuite, Boys Club, Refraction, Metalabel and Pussy Riot. Previously, as the Managing Director of Berklee's Institute for Creative Entrepreneurship, she led the Open Music Initiative, a music tech industry consortium, and co-founded RAIDAR, a blockchain based music licensing platform built by and for Berklee students. Nicole’s speaking engagements include Consensus, Mainnet, MIT-Forbes Imagination in Action at the 2020 World Economic Forum in Davos and the Unclaimed Royalties Symposium at the U.S. Library of Congress.

Madison Poshkus is a recent graduate of Simmons University, from which she holds a Master's of Public Policy. She is currently working as a Legislative Aide at the Massachusetts State House to Massachusetts State Representative Natalie M. Higgins (Worcester 4th). Her policy interests include debt-free higher education, equitable funding of K-12 schools, the landscape of standardized testing, and policy supporting survivors of sexual violence.

Madison lives in Brighton, MA with her partner, James. She loves dancing, traveling, outdoor dining, and the ocean.
